NYFW Spring 2018 Trends
We always check the runaway shows, so let’s talk about NYFW Spring 2018 trends. It is important for us to see how the trends are evolving, the new silhouettes and colors. So we are able to advise our clientes not only about what to buy to update their wardrobe but also different ways of wearing what they already have.
We have an educational program for Fashion students and professionals from Brazil during NY Fashion Weeks. Part of the program is to participate in the backstage of some shows, a great experience for them. One of shows was Desigual, the Spanish brand had a “Fashiontainment” show with dancers executing a vibrant choreograph in a celebration of multiculturalism (photo above)
We saw that for next Spring the silhouettes remain fluid and the dresses and skirt’s length will be still midi. The paper bag high waist pants that we are seeing around for some seasons will be a favorite. The statement sleeves and ruffles are not going away, as well as transparency and floral prints. Blazers are having a comeback as perfect jackets for all occasions, and prints as pinstripe and plaids remain strong and a good choice for investment pieces. Talking about colors, it looks like Spring 2018 is going to be more colorful: yellow, red, orange and even a bright purple are the colors most used by NYFW designers. And a beautiful lilac is probably going to be the fresh color of the season, let’s see!
