Reasons to hire a Personal Shopper?
The Brazilian Manequim Magazine interviewed me to learn more about my job as a Personal Stylist and Personal Shopper in New York.
As I said in the interview, personal shopping is not only for people who has unlimited budget. It is adapted to every client’s style, budget and lifestyle.
This work can be done in various ways, and can include visiting brick-and-mortar stores, shopping online or doing a combination of both. Another option is to anticipate the purchases for clients visiting New York. Before the client arrives in the city, which happens a lot with clients that have a busy schedule while here.
The Personal Shopper service is a way to optimize shopping time, but still be updated with the trends. This service is focused on shopping consciously, but also saving time and money.

I am personally enjoying to see so many nice velvet pieces this Fall. But I need to say that I have never had an interest in traditional corduroy pants. Until I saw the 70’s inspired Wide Wale Corduroy that is having a big moment this Fall. I have tried on one pair of pants and they are in my wish list, high waisted and cropped. Let’s see. How do you like them?
Here is another Fall 2017 trend we have posted about.

Polkas dot prints are a classic. If you like it, I am sure you already have something in your wardrobe. But for the few past weeks I have begun to see more polka dots in different stores here in New York, even in very modern brands.
And the dots come in different scales, from small to very big. And not only black and white, but colorful as well. It’s definitely a very feminine print, and how you choose to wear it can make all the difference, accentuating it or not. For those who like it, it is easy to combine with other prints, for example a small polka dot skirt with a floral print blouse or stripes. It is always more interesting to use different scale prints like large dots and thin stripes. Talking about accessories, wear a polka dot dress with slippers makes it a little more current than with ballet flats. But it is your choice, wear it as fits your style better.

After so many seasons of the midi skirt in the spotlight, there are signs that we will see the comeback of the mini skirt. We have seen in some Fall 2017 runaway shows and has been appearing in fashion editorials lately. And does not it feels fresh and makes you want to use it? A fashion trend is just that, several reasons make you willing to wear something. For Fall 2017 we expect to watch a 60’s vibe in the air. And mini skirts go very well with turtleneck knits and long sleeves. After all, if we are showing more the legs it is a good covering the arms a bit. For shoes, in the fall, maybe suede or velvet sandals and slippers, and when it gets cooler, knee boots.
The length is each one decision. And for those who still prefer the longer skirts, it’s good that the fashion is very democratic and no one should feel pressured to wear anything that does not feel like it. The personal style of each one is always the most important.
And which accessory goes perfect with a mini skirt? Read here an old post and tell me what you think about.
